Organised by the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (the CMA), the 6th Hong Kong Brands and Products Shopping Festival will be held from 26 to 29 June at AsiaWorld-Expo. This year’s expo has been significantly upgraded to integrate four core elements – food, shopping, entertainment and sports – offering locals and tourists a one-stop, multifaceted summer experience.

Under the theme “Summer Chill”, the expo will feature nine themed zones with over 260 booths, showcasing a wide range of premium local and international brands. Product offerings span food and beverages, electronics, kitchenware and home appliances, beauty and healthcare, fashion and accessories, and sports equipment. Shoppers can look forward to massive savings, including nearly 100 items offered at discounts of up to 90% off, along with HK$1 deals. In addition, the expo has partnered with e-commerce platform Wasabi Mall for the first time. Popular celebrities will host live-stream shopping sessions featuring hundred of hot items, delivering an exceptional shopping experience that seamlessly blends online and offline retail.

Dr Wingco Lo, President of the CMA, noted that in today’s landscape where consumers increasingly seek “value-for-money”, the CMA is leveraging its “exhibition plus” initiative to create diverse, affordable and refreshing shopping experiences. “This year, we are blending ‘exhibition’ with ‘sports’ for the first time by launching the brand-new Trendy Sports Zone,” Dr Lo said. “Visitors can unleash their sporting spirit while indulging in retail therapy, enjoying a vibrant and energetic summer like never before.”

He expressed confidence that the expo’s unique retail and entertainment offerings will capitalise on the recovering retail market to further stimulate consumer spending.

The Trendy Sports Zone will feature a curated selection of popular sports and outdoor gear. Visitors can also enjoy hands-on experiences with basketball, football, MR dodgeball, and the increasingly popular pickleball. To elevate the pickleball fun, the organiser will host an invitational match featuring celebrities and business leaders, alongside youth and open division competitions that welcome public participation. The pickleball courts will be open to the public free of charge throughout the expo, while professional coaches will be available to provide free guidance and basic skills training.

The food line-up has also received a significant upgrade, feauturing more than 30 popular cooked-food stalls. Joining the two dedicated catering zones – the Yummy Food Zone and Chillax Zone – is the newly introduced Southeast Asian Food Zone, which will serve authentic delicacies from Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and beyond. To sweeten the deal, all three catering zones will offer daily limited-time items at half price or below after 2pm, allowing visitors to savour global flavours at unbeatable prices.

Mr Ivan Sze, Vice President of the CMA and Chairman of CMA Exhibition Services Limited, highlighted the strong synergy between promotions and activities this year. Online shoppers who reach a designated spending threshold during live stream sessions will enjoy multiple benefits, including free delivery, extra discounts, and complimentary e-tickets. Meanwhile, visitors at the venue can participate in a series of lucky draws and interactive activities, with total prizes valued at HK$400,000. “Artistes and singers will perform live and engage with the crowds through interactive games,” Mr Sze added. “Together with an exciting line-up of stage shows, workshops, busking competitions and performances, these activities will draw larger crowds and further stimulate spending.”

The expo will be open from 10:30am to 7pm daily (the expo will close at 5:30 pm on 29 June). The admission fee is HK$10, while early birds can book online before 25 June for just HK$8 (free admission for children under 1 metre in height, seniors aged 65 or above, and persons with disabilities). Special transportation arrangements will be available during the expo to facilitate easy access for visitors from various districts.
